ANZRP has reached an important milestone in its work to advance circular solutions for hard-to-recycle plastics, with a new phase of investment set to accelerate the growth of RESIN8 Circular.
Originally established in 2023 as a joint venture with CRDC Circular Solutions, the RESIN8 initiative was designed to tackle a long-standing challenge in e-waste recycling—improving the recovery and reuse of plastics. With around 25% of televisions and IT equipment comprised of plastic, the project set out to create a scalable, onshore pathway to convert these materials into a valuable, low-carbon construction aggregate.
Following a structured market process, SCG Transmutation (SCGT) has now acquired a majority interest in the business, which has transitioned to operate as RESIN8. This brings together additional capital and specialist manufacturing expertise to support commercial scale-up and broader market adoption.
ANZRP will retain a minority shareholding through its subsidiary, WeCollect, ensuring continued involvement in the project while enabling focus on its core stewardship priorities.

Strengthening pathways for circularity
This transition represents a step forward in strengthening circular economy outcomes for both e-waste plastics and broader packaging streams. By combining Transmutation’s operational capability with Sustainable Concrete Group’s (SCG) capital and construction materials expertise, RESIN8 is well positioned to scale production and expand its impact nationally.
Opportunities for ANZRP members
As SCGT advances the commercialisation of RESIN8, members may have opportunities to participate in the next stage of the initiative—particularly through plastic feedstock supply partnerships. This aligns with growing expectations around product stewardship and circularity, helping organisations meet both e-waste and packaging recovery objectives.
