Welcome to our new ANZRP staff

Welcome to our new ANZRP staff

The ANZRP team continues to grow, with three new staff joining us in the new year:

Jan van de Graaff has joined the team as Strategic Communications and Advocacy Manager; Rena Huang is our new Brand and Marketing Lead; and Peter Kakolyris is our new IT manager.

Welcome Jan!

Jan has joined the team as Strategic Communications and Advocacy Manager. He will be responsible for developing a comprehensive government engagement strategy for all levels of government as well as advocacy work centered on the proposed NTCRS scheme expansion model.

Jan has extensive experience in product stewardship having worked on a wide variety of initiatives across the public, private and not for profit sectors. This has included helping to build the case for, and operational model, for e-stewardship in Australia as well as working with a number of other Co-Regulatory Arrangements.  In recent years Jan has worked with Tyre Stewardship Australia, Genfac Plastics, Dairy Australia and the Vinyl Council in Sustainability and Product Stewardship roles.

Away from work Jan likes to cook, garden, read, and explore the outdoors – both in and outside of Melbourne and the inner north.

Welcome Rena!

Rena has 7+ years in developing targeted communications to elevate brand presence and drive business growth. She has been passionate about recycling since she studied sustainability during university.

In her own time, Rena enjoys going to the gym, watching anime, and discovering new restaurants with her friends.

Welcome Peter!

Peter is ANZRP’s new IT Manager, and his focus will be to progress ANZRP’s database project and develop an overarching IT strategy.

Peter has worked as an IT Manager for over 20 years in the not-for-profit space, most recently with a medical training company who delivered general practice training on behalf of the department of health.

Outside of IT, Peter enjoys following his favourite football team, playing the odd game of tennis, and cooking Greek food for the family.
