ANZRP is nearing the end of the application process for B Corp certification, with just one final stage to complete.
B Corp certification recognises businesses that balance profit with purpose and use their business activities as a force for good. Certified B Corporations undergo a rigorous process, interrogating the social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability of business endeavours.
As a not-for-profit organisation operating to the highest health, safety and environmental standards, our vision is to ensure maximum amounts of precious resources are captured and used in the manufacture of new products, and materials are handled in a way that does not cause harm to the people managing them. Having achieved full compliance to national and international standards in recent years throughout our entire supply chain, we feel positive about our chances of attaining certification.
All evidence to accompany our application has been submitted, and in May this evidence will be reviewed in a meeting with the certifiers. We hope that shortly after this we will know whether or not we have been successful.
Attaining B Corp certification will validate the work we do to international standards, and allow us to reach a broader market of stakeholders interested in the social and environmental impact of business. We will look forward to updating you on our progress and hopefully sharing in our success in the coming months.
