About ANZRP

Australia and New Zealand Recycling Platform Limited (ANZRP) is a not for profit, industry-run member body established to provide its members with a lean, sustainable arrangement to meet liability under the Product Stewardship legislation.

ANZRP evolved from the joint work of the AIIA Environmental Special Interest Group (ESIG) members being 13 major IT brands and the PSA (Product Stewardship Association formed by CESA) representing the major TV brands. This group representing industry played a significant role in the formation of the Product Stewardship Act and Regulations and in the development of the Interim Industry Standard.  ANZRP's establishment has been funded by the AIIA ESIG members and has their full support.

ANZRP is steered and led by industry under a sound Constitution and governance structure. ANZRP’s recycling service will be program managed by Infoactiv, Australia's leading supply chain and e-waste management solution firm. Infoactiv will manage and deliver all operational aspects of the recycling service, from collection and transport through to equipment disassembly, recycling and community engagement across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. Infoactiv has a proven capability and a history of driving down costs while improving environmental outcomes.

A partnership approach

ANZRP is engaged with federal, state and local governments, social enterprises, and fellow sustainability organisations such as PlanetArk, MobileMuster and C4PA.

Governance

ANZRP’s strategy will be set by its Board and executed by its management team who are accountable to the Board. The Board will be made up of member representative directors and expert based independent directors; each member may nominate a representative to stand for a Board position and the membership will elect the Board who in turn will then appoint the chairman. 
 
ANZRP will of course comply with all regulatory, reporting, data management, relevant standards and legislative requirements. The governance and operating procedures of ANZRP will be in accordance with its Constitution and good governance principles. ANZRP’s has the reputations of its industry members to protect and as such has a low tolerance for risk.

Mission

Our Mission is to provide Australia's industry-backed scheme for electronic waste collection and recycling, demonstrating leadership to:
  • fully meet our members' obligations under the Product Stewardship Act 2011
  • reduce e-waste contribution to landfill by delivering on collection and recycling targets.
  • scale operations to drive down collection and recycling costs
  • encourage maximum resource recovery from end of life e-waste to capture its commercial and environmental value
  • provide a free drop off service to households and SME across Australia
  • engage, educate and collaborate with stakeholders to drive sustained behavioural change
